Community Guidelines Cevera

Updated 03/26

By accessing or using the Cevera platform (“Platform”), you agree to abide by these Community

Guidelines and all applicable laws. Cevera may update these Guidelines from time to time and

will enforce them to maintain a lawful, professional, and secure environment.

1. PURPOSE AND VALUES OF THE PLATFORM

1.1 2. 3. Professional Purpose: Cevera is a professional, skills-focused digital portfolio and

networking platform designed for career development and employability. All use of the

Platform must align with this professional purpose and with Cevera’s core values of

integrity, respect, and transparency. Users are expected to foster a safe and collaborative

community that reflects these values.

Appropriate Use: The Platform is to be used only for lawful, professional purposes. It

must not be used for activities outside its scope, including:

2.1. 2.2. 2.3. 2.4. Political or Sectarian Activities: No political campaigning, partisan advocacy, or

sectarian propaganda is allowed on Cevera.

Religious Promotion or Solicitation: Proselytizing, religious recruitment, or

content pushing a specific religious agenda is not permitted, in order to maintain a

neutral and inclusive environment.

Violations of Public Order or Morals: Any use of Cevera to organize or

promote actions that would breach public order, or to share content contrary to

public decency or UAE moral standards, is strictly prohibited. (See Section 3

below for details on prohibited content.)

Illegal Activities:Any activity that violates applicable laws – especially the

laws of the United Arab Emirates – is strictly forbidden on the Platform. This

includes using Cevera for criminal purposes, incitement to crime, or any other

unlawful conduct.

Good Faith and Cooperation: Users should act in good faith and cooperate with

Cevera’s mission of professional development. This means providing honest information,

treating others with respect, and promptly reporting any misuse of the Platform. By using

Cevera, you agree to uphold these standards of professionalism and integrity.

2. LAWFUL AND RESPECTFUL CONDUCT

1. Compliance with Laws: Users of Cevera must comply with all applicable laws and

regulations, particularly those of the United Arab Emirates where Cevera is operated.

2. UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021 (the “Cybercrime Law”) strictly criminalizes

various online offenses. As such, the following conduct is strictly prohibited on Cevera

(this list is illustrative, not exhaustive):

1.1. Spreading False or Misleading Information: You may not publish or share

rumors, fake news, or any false information that could harm individuals,

institutions, or public order. Knowingly disseminating untrue content (including

deepfakes or misinformation generated by bots) is an offense under UAE law and

will not be tolerated.

1.2. Defamation and Insults: Any form of defamation, slander, or personal insults

directed at any person or entity is forbidden. In jurisdictions like the UAE and the

Philippines, defamation (including online libel or “cyber libel”) is a criminal

offense, so users must refrain from making false or malicious statements that

could damage someone’s reputation.

1.3. Harassment and Hate Speech: Cevera has zero tolerance for harassment,

bullying, or hate speech. Users must not threaten, stalk, or intimidate others, nor

use derogatory or slur language targeting someone’s race, ethnicity, nationality,

religion, gender, disability, or other protected characteristics. Any content that

incites hatred, discriminates, or vilifies a group or individual is strictly prohibited.

1.4. Threats to Public Order or National Security: Content that could harm national

unity, security, or social harmony in the UAE is prohibited. This includes

criticizing or disrespecting the UAE government, leaders, or institutions in a

manner that violates local laws, as well as any content that supports extremism or

terrorist ideologies. Users must also avoid sharing confidential government

information or unauthorized news about ongoing legal cases or investigations.

1.5. Unauthorized Access and Cybercrime: You must not use the Platform for any

form of hacking, unauthorized access to systems, or distribution of malware.

Attempting to access accounts or data that you are not authorized to access is

illegal. Any conduct that would violate digital security (e.g. phishing, spreading

viruses, conducting cyber-attacks) is strictly banned.

1.6. Digital Fraud and Impersonation: Fraudulent activities such as impersonating

others, creating fake accounts, phishing for personal information, or deceiving

others for financial or personal gain are forbidden. Adopting a false identity or

misrepresenting your affiliation for deceitful purposes on Cevera is considered an

unlawful impersonation. Users may not pretend to be another person, company, or

entity in order to mislead or defraud others.

Respectful Interaction: All members of the Cevera community must treat each other

with courtesy and respect. Disagreements should be handled professionally. Absolutely

no harassment, personal attacks, or abusive language is allowed. Users must uphold these

standards in all interactions on the platform, including comments and discussions.

Bullying or abuse in any form may result in enforcement action. Maintain civil discourse

at all times, focusing on constructive and professional communication.

3. 3. 1. Consequences: Any user behavior that is unlawful or violates these standards of

respectful conduct may result in immediate action by Cevera. This can include content

removal, account suspension, or termination (see Section 11 on Enforcement). In serious

cases – for example, evidence of crimes like fraud, threats, hate propaganda, or other

cybercrimes – Cevera reserves the right to report the matter to law enforcement

authorities in the UAE or other relevant jurisdictions. Remember that under UAE law,

platforms can face heavy penalties (up to AED 10,000,000) if illegal content is not

removed, so Cevera will act decisively to eliminate unlawful material.

PUBLIC DECENCY AND MORAL STANDARDS

Content Standards: Cevera users must adhere to the UAE’s standards of public decency

and moral conduct when sharing any content. The UAE’s public decency laws prohibit

content that offends modesty, cultural values, or religious sentiments. Therefore, the

following types of content are strictly forbidden on Cevera:

1.1. 1.2. 1.3. 1.4. 1.5. Pornography and Sexual Content: No pornographic, sexually explicit, or

indecent material may be posted. This includes images, videos, or descriptions of

sexual activities, nudity, or any content with lewd or obscene intent. Content that

is sexually suggestive or violates public modesty standards is not allowed.

Profanity and Obscene Material: Users should refrain from using profanity or

vulgar language in public posts. Content that is graphically violent, gory, or

otherwise extremely obscene is prohibited, as it violates public morality. Graphic

depictions of violence or cruelty are not acceptable on the Platform.

Religious Insults or Blasphemy: Cevera will not tolerate content that is

blasphemous or disrespectful toward religious symbols, beliefs, or figures. Users

must not post anything that could be construed as insulting or mocking any

religion or faith. The UAE law specifically forbids hate or contempt against

religions, so such content is illegal and will be removed.

Promotion of Vice or Illegal Substances: Do not post content that promotes the

use of illegal drugs, controlled substances, or any form of criminal activity.

Similarly, content encouraging gambling or betting is prohibited unless it

complies with UAE law (gambling is largely illegal in the UAE). Any promotion

of illicit activities such as prostitution, human trafficking, or the sale of prohibited

items is strictly banned.

Alcohol and Tobacco: Given local customs, users should avoid gratuitous

promotion of alcohol or tobacco. While discussing these products in a

professional context (e.g. corporate news) may be permissible, doing so in a way

that contravenes UAE marketing regulations or public morals is not allowed.

(Note: Advertising of alcohol is regulated in the UAE – unlicensed promotion by

users may be removed.)

2. 3. Cultural Sensitivity: Be mindful of the diverse cultural norms of the Cevera community,

especially the conservative values upheld in the UAE. Content should be appropriate for

a professional audience and should not include attire, gestures, or language that would be

considered offensive in UAE’s cultural context. Public displays of affection, excessively

revealing clothing, or indecent gestures in photos/videos may be deemed against public

decency norms and removed.

Moderation of Decency Violations: Cevera reserves the right to remove any content at

its sole discretion if it violates public decency or moral standards. Decisions on what

constitutes indecent or offensive content will align with UAE law and prevailing

community standards. Users who repeatedly post indecent content or engage in grossly

offensive behavior may face account suspension or termination.

4. AUTHENTICITY AND CONTENT TRUTHFULNESS

1. 2. Profile Authenticity: Users must provide truthful and accurate information in their

profiles and interactions. This means you should only present authentic qualifications,

experience, and identity on the Platform. Do not claim credentials, degrees, titles, or work

experience that you do not actually have. Misrepresenting your professional background

or impersonating any person or entity (whether a real individual or a fictitious persona) is

prohibited and may constitute fraud under law. Each user is allowed only one primary

account, and that account should reflect your real identity (or your officially registered

business identity, if it’s a company account).

Honest Content and No Misinformation: All content you share (posts, comments,

articles, portfolio items, etc.) should be truthful and accurate to the best of your

knowledge. Do not deliberately share misinformation, unverified claims presented as

facts, or deceptive content. In particular:

2.1. 2.2. 2.3. No False Information or Fabricated Achievements: You must not post false

information about yourself, your achievements, or others. Fabricating

endorsements, references, or reviews is not allowed. Any attempt to deceive

others for professional gain (e.g. posting a fake job offer, or false success

statistics) will be treated as a serious violation.

No Fraudulent Claims or Testimonials: If you share testimonials or case studies

on Cevera, ensure they are genuine and can be substantiated. Posting fabricated

testimonials or making unbacked claims about a product/service (especially if you

are an entrepreneur or marketer on the platform) is disallowed. UAE consumer

protection law prohibits misleading advertising, and Cevera aligns with those

standards – honesty in all promotions or professional claims is required.

No “Fake News” or Rumors: Refrain from spreading rumors or unverified news,

especially if it could harm someone’s reputation or cause panic. The UAE’s

3. 4. Cybercrime Law specifically targets the publishing or circulating of false news

and rumors that may endanger public interest or stir unrest. Before posting news

or allegations, verify the source and accuracy. If in doubt, do not post or clearly

mark the content as unverified opinion.

No Deepfakes or Manipulated Media: You may not share manipulated images, videos,

or audio recordings that mislead others about real events or facts. Creating or distributing

“deepfake” content (media altered by AI to impersonate real people or events) without

clear disclosure is forbidden. The UAE Cybercrime Law criminalizes using electronic

means (including AI “robots”) to spread fake data or falsely attributed content. If you

modify media for illustrative purposes, you must label it accordingly to avoid deception.

Impersonation and Identity Verification: Users are strictly forbidden from

impersonating other individuals or organizations. This includes using someone else’s

name or photo in your profile with the intent to deceive, or falsely claiming to represent a

company or institution that you are not actually affiliated with. Cevera may implement

verification processes (such as email or ID verification) and reserves the right to take

action if impersonation is detected. Misrepresentation of identity is not only a Guidelines

violation but can also be a criminal offense (e.g., false online identity usage) under

cybercrime laws.

5. Accountability: Each user is responsible for the content they post. Posting under a

pseudonym or on behalf of another does not exempt you from responsibility. You should

be prepared to stand behind your statements and content. If you make an error in content

you shared (for example, an unintentionally incorrect fact), correct it promptly.

Maintaining trust and professional integrity on Cevera is paramount.

5. AI-GENERATED CONTENT AND DISCLOSURE

1. 2. Permissible Use of AI: Cevera recognizes that artificial intelligence (AI) tools (such as

language models, image generators, etc.) are increasingly used in content creation. AI-

generated content may be shared on the Platform only if it adheres to these Guidelines

and all legal standards. Users remain fully responsible for any content they post, even if

an AI tool helped create it. Under emerging regulations, AI-generated material is being

explicitly brought under content rules and oversight, so Cevera will treat AI content with

the same rigor as any other content.

Disclosure Requirement: Users must clearly disclose AI-generated content when

posting it, especially if its nature is not obvious. For example, if you post an article,

design, or media asset substantially created by an AI, you should indicate in the post or

caption that it is AI-generated. This transparency is necessary to avoid misleading other

3. 4. 5. 6. 1. 2. users about the origin and authenticity of the content. It aligns with global best practices

for AI ethics and upcoming laws requiring AI content labeling.

Prohibited AI Misuse: You may not use AI tools to generate deceptive or harmful

content. This includes using AI to fabricate false information (e.g. creating a fake “news”

article or a bogus profile), to produce deepfake images/videos of real individuals without

consent, or to mass-produce spam or propaganda. Such conduct violates the truthfulness

and anti-fraud provisions of these Guidelines and, in some cases, violates UAE

cybercrime law (which already outlaws certain AI deepfakes and bots spreading fake

news). If Cevera detects that you are deploying automated bots or AI scripts to post

content or interact with others in a misleading way, we will take action against your

account.

Quality and Relevance: AI-generated content should be relevant to the Platform’s

professional context and meet our quality standards. Low-quality posts (e.g. nonsensical

text or auto-generated spam) will be removed. Do not flood the Platform with AI content

without meaningful value or context. Cevera aims to foster genuine human professional

growth AI can assist but not replace authentic personal input. We encourage users to use

AI tools responsibly, e.g., to aid in writing drafts or generating ideas, but always with

human review for accuracy and compliance.

Personal Data in AI Content: When using AI tools, do not input or reveal personal data

of others without consent. For instance, do not prompt an AI with someone else’s private

information to generate content about them. Such actions could violate data privacy laws

and our privacy guidelines (Section 7). Always respect privacy and confidentiality, even

when utilizing advanced tools.

FAIR EMPLOYMENT AND RECRUITMENT PRACTICES

Applicability: While Cevera is primarily a career development and community platform,

users may occasionally share or discuss job opportunities, collaborations, or candidate

searches through posts or comments. This section applies to users who are employers,

recruiters, or anyone posting job opportunities or candidate searches on Cevera. Because

Cevera is a career development platform, it must be a space of fair and lawful

employment practices, especially in the UAE context. Any job postings or recruitment

activities must comply with UAE labor laws and relevant regulations, as well as general

anti-discrimination principles.

Labor Law Compliance: Employers and recruiters using Cevera must follow all

applicable labor laws and regulations of the jurisdiction they operate in. In particular,

if you are posting jobs or hiring in the UAE, you must comply with UAE labor laws and

Ministry of Human Resources guidelines. This includes:

3. 4. 2.1. Providing truthful and accurate job descriptions (role, requirements,

compensation, etc.). Do not misrepresent any aspect of a job opportunity. False

claims about a job’s salary, benefits, duties or any other terms are prohibited.

2.2. No Discriminatory Job Posts: Job advertisements must not exclude or prefer

candidates based on characteristics such as race, religion, nationality, gender, age,

marital status, or disability, except where lawfully permitted (e.g. for genuine

occupational requirements). UAE law prohibits discrimination in employment; for

example, Article 4 of the UAE Labor Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021)

bans discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, or

disability in employment terms. All job postings on Cevera should be open and

merit-based.

2.3. Respect for Candidate Rights: Recruiters must respect the privacy and rights of

candidates. Do not demand personal documents or data from candidates beyond

what is necessary and lawful for the hiring process. Any personal data collected

during recruitment must be handled in line with data protection laws (see Section

7).

2.4. No Unlawful Fees or Exploitation: It is strictly forbidden to solicit any payment

or “processing fees” from job seekers. Under UAE law and many other

jurisdictions’ labor laws, candidates cannot be charged to obtain a job –

employment agencies and employers should bear recruitment costs. Any user

found requesting money from applicants (for training, visa processing, or any

other reason) will face action for fraud. Similarly, offering jobs in exchange for

inappropriate favors or violating any labor protections will result in sanctions.

Anti-Fraud in Recruitment: Fraudulent recruitment schemes are not tolerated. This

includes fake job offers (posting jobs that do not exist), phishing attempts disguised as

recruitment, or multi-level marketing positions misrepresented as legitimate jobs. If you

are offering income opportunities, you must be transparent about the nature of the work.

“Get rich quick” postings, unrealistically high salary promises for little work, or any

indication of a pyramid scheme-style recruitment will be treated as scam attempts (see

Section 9 on Fraud). Cevera will remove such posts and ban the posters. Recruiting users

into unlawful schemes is grounds for immediate termination and potential reporting to

authorities.

UAE-Specific Requirements: In the UAE, certain additional rules apply: for example,

work advertisements may require approval or adherence to Ministry guidelines, and there

are licensing requirements for recruitment agencies. Ensure you are authorized to recruit

if you are acting as an agency. If you are an employer, ensure any advertised role has the

necessary governmental approvals (for instance, jobs in certain sectors or for certain

nationalities may have quota or permit considerations). Influencer or freelance hiring

posts should also comply with any UAE freelancing and media regulations.

5. 6. 7. 1. 2. Good Faith and Professionalism: Employers and recruiters on Cevera must act in good

faith. Respond to candidates in a professional manner. Do not ghost applicants or misuse

candidate data for other purposes. Any feedback or rejections should be respectful and

non-discriminatory. Maintaining a fair hiring process on the Platform is essential to

Cevera’s mission.

Consequences: Violation of fair employment practices will result in removal of the

offending content and possible account penalties. Serious or repeat violations (such as

discriminatory postings or recruitment fraud) can lead to a permanent ban. Cevera may

also report egregious cases (like large-scale employment scams or illegal hiring practices)

to legal authorities for further action, in line with UAE labor and cybercrime laws.

DATA PRIVACY AND PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

Commitment to Privacy: Cevera is committed to protecting personal data and privacy in

compliance with all applicable data protection laws, including the UAE’s Federal Decree-

Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (“UAE PDPL”), the EU General

Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), and the Philippines Data Privacy Act of 2012

(Republic Act No. 10173), among others. We handle personal information lawfully, fairly,

and transparently, consistent with the principles of these regulations.

Platform Data Practices: By using Cevera, you acknowledge and agree that Cevera will

collect and process certain personal data as needed to provide services (such as your

profile information, communications, and usage data). This processing will be done in

accordance with our Privacy Policy and the following principles drawn from UAE PDPL

and GDPR:

2.1. 2.2. 2.3. 2.4. Lawfulness, Fairness, Transparency: Personal data will be processed only for

legitimate purposes and in a fair manner transparent to users. We will inform you

of the types of data collected and the purposes (e.g. creating your profile,

facilitating connections, etc.).

Purpose Limitation: Data will be used for the specific professional and

operational purposes for which it was collected (e.g. facilitating networking or job

matching) and not further processed in incompatible ways without additional

consent.

Data Minimization: We only collect data that is necessary for the intended

purposes. We urge users to also only provide necessary information on their

profiles. Do not post excessive personal details about yourself or others.

Accuracy: We strive to keep personal data accurate and up-to-date. You, as a user,

should also ensure that any personal information you provide (like your contact

details or experience) is correct and promptly updated if it changes.

3. 4. 5. 2.5. Storage Limitation: Personal data will not be retained longer than needed.

Inactive accounts or data will be purged in accordance with our retention policies

and applicable law.

2.6. Integrity and Confidentiality: We implement appropriate security measures to

protect personal data from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. Users also

have a responsibility to keep their login credentials confidential and to report any

suspected data breach or account compromise.

2.7. Accountability: Cevera maintains records and policies to demonstrate

compliance with these data protection principles. We have appointed a Data

Protection Officer (DPO) to oversee our privacy program and address user

concerns.

User Responsibilities (Privacy): Users must also respect others’ privacy. Do not collect

or harvest personal data about other users without permission. Scraping the Platform or

using someone’s profile information for unsolicited marketing is prohibited. Do not share

personal data of other individuals (such as email addresses, phone numbers, identification

documents, or sensitive information) on Cevera without their explicit consent. Publishing

someone’s private information without consent (doxxing) is a serious violation of privacy

and can be illegal under laws like the UAE Cybercrime Law. If your content includes

personal data (e.g. a reference letter containing someone’s contact info), ensure you have

the right to share it.

Sensitive Personal Data: Special categories of personal data (e.g. information about

health, financial details, precise location, government ID numbers, biometrics, etc.)

require extra care. Under UAE PDPL and other laws, processing such sensitive data

typically requires explicit consent or legal necessity. Users should refrain from posting

sensitive personal data on their profiles or content unless absolutely necessary and done

in compliance with law. Cevera does not require sensitive personal details for general use

– avoid sharing things like your national ID number, passport, racial/ethnic origin, or

religious affiliation on your profile. If you are an employer collecting data through

Cevera (e.g. job applications), you are responsible for ensuring compliance with data

protection laws regarding that data.

International Data Transfers: Because Cevera is accessible globally, personal data may

be transferred or stored across international borders. Cevera will ensure that any cross-

border data transfers comply with applicable regulations – for instance, UAE PDPL

requirements for transferring data outside the UAE, and GDPR’s provisions on

transferring data outside the European Economic Area. We will utilize appropriate

safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions) when moving

data internationally. By using Cevera, you consent to such transfers for the purpose of

service provision, with the assurance that we safeguard your data in line with legal

standards.

6. 7. 8. User Data Rights: Cevera upholds the rights of users (data subjects) under UAE PDPL,

GDPR, and similar laws. These include, where applicable, the right to:

6.1. 6.2. 6.3. 6.4. 6.5. 6.6. 6.7. 6.8. Access your personal data held by the Platform (you can request a copy or

summary of the information we have about you).

Rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data (you can edit your profile or ask us

to correct errors).

Erasure (Right to be Forgotten) of your personal data, subject to legal limitations

– for example, you may delete your account or request deletion of certain data,

and we will comply provided we have no lawful reason to retain it.

Restriction of Processing in certain circumstances (you can ask us to halt

processing your data if you contest its accuracy or our lawful basis, etc.).

Data Portability, where applicable (obtaining a copy of your data in a common

format to transfer to another service).

Withdraw Consent at any time for processing that is based on consent

(withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing done before the

withdrawal).

Object to Processing for certain activities (for instance, you may opt out of direct

marketing communications).

Automated Decision Objection: If any significant decision about you is made

solely by algorithms (currently, Cevera does not typically do this without human

involvement), you have the right to contest it or request human review.

To exercise any of these rights or for any privacy-related inquiries, you may contact our

Data Protection Officer (DPO) at: privacy@ceveraapp.com. We will respond to

legitimate requests in accordance with applicable law. Please note that these rights are

subject to conditions and exemptions under the law – for example, we might not delete

data that we are required to keep by law or for legitimate business purposes, but we will

inform you accordingly.

Privacy Breaches: If you become aware of any personal data breach or unauthorized

access involving Cevera (for example, you suspect someone else’s account has been

compromised or personal data is exposed), please notify us immediately at

privacy@ceveraapp.comseriously and will promptly investigate. In the event of a data breach on our end that

affects your personal data, we will notify affected users and regulators as required by

UAE PDPL, GDPR, or other applicable laws.

Privacy Policy: These Guidelines summarize our approach to data privacy in a user-

facing manner. They are complemented by Cevera’s detailed Privacy Policy, which is

or through our in-app support channels. We take security

available on our website/app. The Privacy Policy provides more information on what data

we collect, how we use it, legal bases for processing, third-party sharing, cookies and

tracking, etc. By agreeing to these Guidelines, you also acknowledge our Privacy Policy.

We encourage you to read it fully to understand how your data is handled.

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

1. 2. Respect for IP: Cevera respects intellectual property (IP) rights and expects users to do

the same. You must only post content that you have the right to share. This means do not

upload or share any text, images, videos, code, or other material that infringes someone

else’s copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other IP rights. Intellectual property

laws (copyright, trademark law, etc.) apply to content posted online, and infringement can

lead to legal liability for you and removal of content by us.

Your Own Content: By posting content on Cevera (such as your portfolio projects,

articles, or images), you confirm that you either own the rights to that content or have

obtained all necessary permissions. If the content is your original work, you retain

ownership but you give Cevera a license to display it on the Platform. If it’s not originally

yours (for example, you share an image you found on the internet or an excerpt of

someone else’s article), you must have the proper license or consent to share it. Simply

put, do not steal or misuse others’ creations.

3. Prohibited IP Violations: The following are not allowed on Cevera:

3.1. Copyright Infringement: Uploading or copying content (documents, images,

videos, code snippets, etc.) that is copyrighted by someone else without

permission. This includes sharing pirated materials, plagiarizing text from articles

or books, or posting others’ photographs/designs as your own. Even if you give

credit, you still need permission for full republication unless it falls under a clear

exception (like a short quotation under fair use/fair dealing – and even then, it

must be appropriate).

3.2. Trademark Infringement and Impersonation: Using someone else’s

trademarks, logos, or brand names in a way that confuses others about your

identity or affiliation. For instance, creating a profile that uses a company’s logo

without authorization, or naming a page/group with a trademark you don’t own, is

prohibited. Do not pretend to be officially associated with a brand if you are not.

3.3. Use of Proprietary Materials: Posting any material that contains proprietary

information of others (such as confidential business data, manuals, or code)

without permission is forbidden. For example, if you obtained internal documents

from a past employer, you cannot publish them on Cevera – that could violate

trade secret laws and contractual obligations.

4. 5. 3.4. Counterfeit or Pirated Goods: If Cevera ever allows listing of products or

services, you must not advertise or sell counterfeit goods or pirated software.

Promotion of knock-off products or unauthorized software copies will be removed

and may result in account action.

Your License to Cevera: By posting content on Cevera, you grant us a license to use,

store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the Platform as needed to operate

the service. This license is non-exclusive and intended solely for operating and improving

Cevera. (For example, we might copy your profile data to our backup servers, or display

your post to other users, etc.) You retain all ownership of your works; this license doesn’t

transfer ownership to us. If you delete content, we will stop displaying it, although some

residual copies may remain in backups for a limited time.

IP Reporting and Takedown: If you believe that content on Cevera infringes your

intellectual property rights (for example, someone posted your copyrighted work without

permission, or is using your trademark in a confusing way), please notify us promptly.

You can send an IP infringement notice to privacy@ceveraapp.com (our Legal Team

contact) with the details of the infringement. Please include information reasonably

sufficient for us to locate the content (e.g., the URL or post link), proof that you own the

IP or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner, and a statement of the unauthorized

use. Upon receiving a proper notice, Cevera will expeditiously remove or disable access

to the allegedly infringing content and may notify the user who posted it. We may also

terminate accounts that are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

6. Counter-Notification: If your content was removed due to an IP complaint and you

believe it was wrongly taken down (for example, it was actually your original work or a

permitted use), you may send us a counter-notice through privacy@ceveraapp.com.

Include your explanation and any proof of your rights to the content. We will review such

responses and, if appropriate, restore the content. However, do not re-post removed

content without permission; let the dispute resolution process play out.

7. No IP Misuse of Cevera Brand: The name “Cevera”, our logos, and all related marks

and graphics are trademarks or service marks owned by us. Users may not use Cevera’s

name or branding in any way that implies endorsement or partnership without our written

consent. For instance, you cannot create a group named “Official Cevera Talent Agency”

or use our logo as part of your own project’s logo. Referencing Cevera in an accurate,

descriptive manner (like on a resume: “Top 5% Cevera User”) is fine, but you cannot

misuse our IP.

9. ANTI-FRAUD AND SCAM PREVENTION

1. 2. 3. 4. No Fraudulent Schemes: Cevera strictly prohibits any form of fraud, scam, or deceptive

scheme. Users must not use the Platform to defraud or mislead others for financial or

personal gain. This includes classic scams (phishing, advance-fee frauds, fake investment

opportunities) as well as more subtle deceit (misrepresenting a product/service, or

pyramid recruiting under the guise of networking). All users should be on guard against

suspicious solicitations and report them (see Section 11).

Multi-Level Marketing & Pyramid Schemes: Pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, and

illegal multi-level marketing (MLM) schemes are expressly forbidden on Cevera. If you

promote a business opportunity where earning money primarily depends on recruiting

new members rather than selling a real product/service, that will be treated as a pyramid

scheme. Such schemes are illegitimate, unethical, and illegal, and have no place on the

Platform. Even if a particular MLM is legal, any promotion of it on Cevera must be

honest about the nature of the business and cannot involve exaggerated income promises

or pressure tactics. Posts encouraging users to “invest $100 and recruit 5 friends to earn

huge returns” or similar are not allowed and will be removed. Users engaging in pyramid

or Ponzi scheme promotion will face account termination.

Investment and Financial Scams: Be wary of any posts offering financial miracles.

Users are not allowed to promote get-rich-quick investments, unlicensed trading schemes,

or cryptocurrency/forex “doubling” scams. Under UAE law, it is illegal to solicit

investments without proper licenses, and cyber fraud is heavily penalized. Therefore, do

not use Cevera to:

3.1. 3.2. 3.3. 3.4. 3.5. Solicit money for fake charities or causes (charitable fundraising online in UAE

requires government approval).

Offer loans or credit on suspicious terms.

Advertise “too good to be true” investment returns or guarantee profits in markets

(a telltale sign of fraud).

Promote unregistered investment products or trading platforms that are not

approved by relevant financial authorities.

Run any form of cryptocurrency scam, such as fraudulent ICO promotions, fake

crypto mining schemes, or pump-and-dump groups. (Legitimate discussions about

regulated crypto investments are allowed, but no scams or unlicensed

promotions.)

Cevera may remove posts and warn or ban accounts that show signs of

participating in or facilitating financial fraud.

Job and Career Scams: As mentioned in Section 6, users may not post fake job offers or

recruitment ads aimed at scamming applicants. This also extends to fake services

targeting job seekers for example, fraudulent agencies that guarantee jobs for a fee, or

5. 6. 7. 8. 10. 1. individuals pretending to offer visa or immigration assistance but actually defrauding

people. Such content will be removed and the posters banned. Always be skeptical of

anyone on the Platform who asks for payment in exchange for employment or who

claims a secret shortcut to success.

Phishing and Data Harvesting: Any attempt to phish Cevera users (tricking them into

providing passwords, personal data, or banking information) is strictly forbidden. You

may not post links to external sites that are malicious or that impersonate Cevera or other

services to steal information. Likewise, you cannot use automation or scraping to collect

users’ personal information from Cevera for any unauthorized purpose (this ties into

privacy rules as well). Accounts engaging in such activity will be terminated

immediately.

Spam and Unsolicited Offers: Using Cevera to spam others with repetitive messages,

irrelevant links, or unsolicited promotions is not allowed. This includes mass-messaging

users with business proposals, posting the same comment or link across numerous

profiles/groups, or using bots to advertise. While networking and marketing are part of

professional life, they must be done in a targeted, honest manner. Blatant spam or overly

aggressive solicitation will result in content removal and possible account suspension.

User Vigilance: We encourage the community to stay vigilant. If something seems too

good to be true, it likely is. Cevera will do its part to screen and remove scams, but users

should exercise common sense. Do not send money to people you only met online via

Cevera unless you have thoroughly verified their legitimacy. Use the reporting tools to

alert us of any scam attempts. We also recommend enabling any security features we

offer (such as two-factor authentication) to protect your account from hijacking, which

can be used to perpetrate scams.

Legal Action: Fraud is a crime. In addition to Platform enforcement, Cevera reserves the

right to refer fraudulent activities to law enforcement. The UAE authorities, for example,

are actively monitoring and prosecuting cyber fraud and financial crimes. If you commit

fraud on Cevera, you could face real legal consequences (imprisonment, fines, etc.) under

laws such as the UAE Cybercrime Law or anti-fraud statutes in other jurisdictions. We

will cooperate with official investigations as needed to prevent harm to our users.

ANTI-DISCRIMINATION, HATE SPEECH, AND DEFAMATION

Equal Opportunity and Inclusion: Cevera is a global community that values diversity

and inclusion. Discrimination of any kind is prohibited. This means users must not

engage in or post content that denigrates, excludes, or prefers individuals or groups based

on inherent characteristics such as race, color, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender,

2. 3. 4. 5. sexual orientation, age, disability, or any status protected by law. Treat all members with

equal respect and professionalism. For example, you may not state in a job post or

discussion that people of a certain nationality or gender “need not apply” (unless legally

justified, which is rare). Nor may you harass someone with slurs or stereotypes about

their identity.

No Hate Speech: Hate speech is absolutely forbidden on Cevera. Hate speech is content

that attacks or uses pejorative or exclusionary language toward a protected group (or an

individual as a member of such group). This includes racist or sexist epithets, anti-

religious derogatory comments, or Nazi/white supremacist/terrorist propaganda. Even if

something is phrased as a “joke,” if it targets a protected characteristic in a hateful way, it

will be removed. UAE law specifically criminalizes speech that stirs religious or ethnic

hatred or insults religious beliefs, and many other jurisdictions have similar laws. Cevera

will remove hate content and ban the authors. We may also report severe cases (e.g.,

terrorist propaganda or threats of genocide) to law enforcement.

No Terrorist or Extremist Content: In line with hate speech rules and UAE’s stringent

laws, any praise, support, or promotion of extremist ideologies, terrorist organizations, or

violent groups is banned. Users should not display symbols or flags associated with

terrorist or banned extremist groups. Content that could be seen as propaganda for such

groups will be taken down and likely reported to authorities, as required by law.

Defamation and False Allegations: Users must not make false statements that could

harm a person’s or company’s reputation. Defamation includes libel (written defamation)

and slander (spoken). On social platforms, posting accusations or insults that are untrue

and damage someone’s reputation can lead to legal action. In the UAE (as well as the

Philippines and many other countries), defamation is a criminal offense when done

online, carrying possible fines or jail. Therefore, if you have a complaint about a person

or company, stick to verifiable facts or use appropriate channels (like HR or legal

avenues) rather than airing it on Cevera with exaggeration or falsehood. Criticism in good

faith (e.g., a factual negative review of a service) may be permissible, but must be honest

and based on real experience. Avoid personal attacks and do not malign others with

unverified allegations. Cevera may remove content that appears defamatory or

excessively damaging. Users who engage in defamation or character assassination will

face account discipline and possible legal exposure.

Cyberbullying and Harassment: Beyond protected categories, Cevera prohibits

harassment of any individual. This includes repeated unwanted messages, public

shaming, doxxing (releasing personal info to encourage harassment), or coordinated

attacks. Even if not based on a protected trait, bullying behavior creates a hostile

environment and is not allowed. If someone tells you to stop contacting them, you must

respect that. Do not create derogatory memes or posts targeting a specific person.

Cyberbullying can be reported and will be acted upon. In some jurisdictions, persistent

harassment can violate stalking or harassment laws.

6. Reporting Discriminatory or Hateful Content: If you encounter content or behavior

that you believe violates this section (discrimination, hate, defamation, harassment),

please report it immediately (see Section 11 on how to report). Cevera will review such

reports as a priority due to the serious nature of these violations. We aim to respond

swiftly to remove hateful or defamatory content to protect our users. We may also

provide guidance or warnings to users if the behavior is borderline but could escalate.

7. Content Moderation in Context: Cevera will take into account context when evaluating

content for discrimination or defamation. Satire, academic discussion, or journalistic

content about sensitive topics might be allowed if it’s clear the intent is not to attack a

protected group or person. However, the line is often fine, and our default stance is to err

on the side of protecting users from potential harm. When in doubt, don’t post it. Focus

on respectful, constructive communication.

8. Legal Compliance: This section reflects not just our policy but compliance with legal

requirements in our operating regions. For instance, the UAE’s anti-discrimination law

(Federal Decree-Law No. 2 of 2015) criminalizes acts inciting religious or racial hatred,

and the Cybercrime Law punishes online insults and contempt. The Philippines’ laws

penalize libel and hate propaganda, and EU countries have various hate speech laws. By

following these guidelines, you are also following the law. If you violate these rules in a

way that breaks the law, Cevera may be compelled to report it to relevant authorities.

Let’s all contribute to an inclusive and professional community free from hate and

unlawful behavior.

11. REPORTING, MODERATION AND ENFORCEMENT

1. User Reporting of Violations: Every member of the Cevera community plays a role in

maintaining these Guidelines. If you see content or behavior that you believe violates the

Guidelines (e.g. harassment, scams, inappropriate content, etc.), you are encouraged to

report it. Cevera provides in-platform reporting tools (for example, a “Report” button on

posts or profiles). Please use these features to flag problematic content/users. You may

also report issues by contacting us via email at privacy@ceveraapp.com. When

reporting, provide as much detail as possible (user name, links, descriptions of the issue)

so we can effectively investigate.

2. Confidentiality and Non-Retaliation: Reports will be kept confidential to the extent

possible. Other users will not be notified who reported them. Cevera strictly prohibits

retaliation against anyone for reporting a concern in good faith. If you feel someone has

3. 4. retaliated against you (e.g., harassed or threatened you for flagging their conduct), notify

us immediately.

Moderation Process: Once a report is received, Cevera’s moderation team will review

the content or behavior in question against these Guidelines and applicable law. We may

consult context around the reported material, and we may reach out to the involved

parties for additional information if needed. Our moderation decisions are based on the

evidence gathered and are aimed at fairness and legal compliance.

Enforcement Actions: If a violation is confirmed, Cevera may take one or more of the

following enforcement actions, depending on the severity and nature of the issue:

4.1. 4.2. 4.3. 4.4. 4.5. 4.6. 4.7. Content Removal: The offending content (post, comment, image, etc.) will be

removed or made invisible to other users. In cases of minor first-time violations,

we might remove the content and issue a warning without further penalty.

Content Editing/Masking: In some cases (for example, if a post is mostly fine

but contains one offending element like a phone number or profanity), we might

edit or mask that part of the content. We generally will annotate such edits or

inform the user.

Warning or Notice: We may send a formal warning to the user explaining which

rule was violated. The user will be expected to correct the issue and avoid repeat

offenses.

Account Suspension (Temporary Ban): For more serious or repeated violations,

the user’s account may be suspended for a defined period. During suspension, the

user cannot access their account or post on Cevera. Suspension durations may

vary based on the offense (e.g., 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days).

Account Termination (Permanent Ban): Cevera reserves the right to terminate a

user’s account permanently for egregious or repeat violations. Egregious

violations include but are not limited to: posting illegal content (e.g., child

exploitation material, extremist propaganda), running fraud schemes, threats of

violence, or any behavior that poses significant risk to the community or Cevera.

A terminated user is barred from re-registering without our permission.

Feature Restrictions: We might disable certain features for a user as an

intermediate measure. For example, if someone is spamming invitations or

messages, we could temporarily revoke their messaging privileges.

Shadow Banning or Content Limiting: In some cases, especially to manage

spam or fake accounts, we may limit the visibility of a user’s content (shadow

ban) pending further review. The user might not immediately realize their content

is not reaching others. This is used sparingly and typically as a spam-control

measure.

5. 6. 7. 8. 4.8. Legal Referral: As noted throughout these Guidelines, if a user’s actions appear

to violate the law (especially serious matters like fraud, threats, hacking, child

pornography, etc.), Cevera may refer the matter to the appropriate authorities and/

or comply with legal orders or investigations. We will preserve necessary

information and provide it to law enforcement when required by law or when the

safety of persons is involved.

Notice of Action: In most cases, Cevera will notify the user of enforcement actions taken

against them, and provide a brief explanation (e.g., “Your post on [date] was removed for

hate speech” or “Your account has been suspended for 7 days due to repeated harassment

reports”). However, we reserve the right not to notify in certain scenarios for instance, if

we are required by law to refrain from doing so, or if the violation is so clear and the user

is no longer welcome (like obvious spammers or bots).

Appeals Process: If you believe that a moderation or enforcement action taken against

you was in error, you may appeal it. To appeal, you can contact

or follow the instructions provided in the notice (if any).

Provide reasoning and any evidence as to why you think the action was incorrect (e.g.,

“my post was a factual report, not fake news, here is the source” or “the content was

removed but I have rights to it”). Our team will review appeals promptly and impartially.

If a mistake was made, we will rectify it (e.g., reinstate content or lift a suspension). Note

that frivolous or bad-faith appeals may be disregarded. Not all enforcement actions may

be reversed, especially if we had strong grounds for the original decision.

Platform’s Right and Discretion: Cevera reserves the right to enforce these Guidelines

at our discretion. These rules do not create a contractual obligation for Cevera to act in

every instance of potential violation, but we strive to be consistent and fair. We may

choose not to act or to issue exemptions in special cases (for example, content that

technically violates a rule but is clearly posted for legitimate educational or news

purposes, such as a documentary image containing violence might be allowed with a

warning label). However, any waiver of enforcement in one scenario does not mean it

will be waived again. We also reserve the right to remove any content or user that we

determine, in our sole judgment, is detrimental to the community or the Platform’s

operation – even if not explicitly covered by a written rule (though generally it will fall

under broad principles like lawfulness or respect).

Compliance with Authorities: If Cevera receives an order or request from a competent

authority (such as a UAE court, the Telecommunications and Digital Government

Regulatory Authority (TDRA), or a law enforcement agency) to remove content, block a

user, or provide user information, we will comply to the extent required by law. The UAE

Cybercrime Law imposes heavy fines on platforms that fail to obey official content

9. 10. 12. 1. 2. 3. removal orders, so we will act swiftly when mandated. We may not be able to notify

users in such cases, depending on legal restrictions.

False Reports: Users are encouraged to report in good faith. However, submitting false

or malicious reports (for example, repeatedly reporting a competitor’s profile as “spam”

with no basis) is itself a violation of these Guidelines. We monitor report patterns and if

we determine that a user is deliberately abusing the reporting system to harass others or

disrupt the Platform, that user may face warnings or penalties.

Community Restoration: Enforcement is intended to educate and correct behavior

where possible. Users who have been warned or suspended and later return are expected

to improve their conduct. Cevera believes in giving chances when appropriate, but repeat

offenders will eventually be removed to protect the community. Our goal is to have a

community where enforcement action is rarely needed because everyone understands and

follows these Guidelines.

GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Governing Law: These Community Guidelines (and any related terms or policies) are

governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. As Cevera’s operations are primarily

based in Dubai, UAE, your use of the Platform is also subject to the federal laws of the

UAE and, where applicable, the local laws of Dubai. This choice of law applies

regardless of conflict of laws principles, meaning that if you are using Cevera from

another country, the laws of the UAE will still govern the interpretation and enforcement

of these Guidelines and any disputes arising from them.

Jurisdiction: In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or in

connection with your use of Cevera or these Guidelines, the default jurisdiction shall be

the courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. You hereby agree (by using the Platform) that

any such disputes will be exclusively submitted to the competent courts in Dubai for

resolution. Dubai courts’ decisions shall be binding, subject to any rights of appeal under

UAE law.

International Considerations: We recognize that Cevera is accessible globally and that

users in other countries may have certain consumer rights or legal protections under their

local laws. Nothing in these Guidelines seeks to unlawfully restrict any rights you might

have under mandatory laws of your country of residence. For instance, if you are an EU

resident, you may have the right to bring certain claims in your home country under EU

consumer protection laws or GDPR. However, to the extent permissible, you agree to the

above UAE governing law and jurisdiction. The principle of Dubai as the default forum is

to ensure a consistent legal approach, given Cevera’s base of operations, but we may

consider alternative dispute resolution methods for international users in appropriate

cases.

4. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration (if applicable): (If Cevera’s Terms of Service

include an arbitration clause or other mechanisms, they would be referenced here. For the

purpose of these Guidelines, we primarily cite court jurisdiction. If arbitration or

mediation is preferred by the Platform for certain disputes, we would outline that process

here, e.g., “Disputes will first be attempted to be resolved amicably, failing which a

binding arbitration under [Rules] in [Location] may be conducted,” etc. But since the

prompt specifically notes Dubai courts as default, we’ll stick to court jurisdiction.)

5. Injunctive Relief: You acknowledge that any violation of these Guidelines may result in

irreparable harm to Cevera or its users that cannot be adequately remedied by damages

alone. In such cases, Cevera may seek injunctive or equitable relief (for example, a court

order to stop certain behavior) in any jurisdiction as necessary, in addition to other legal

remedies.

6. Language: These Guidelines are drafted in English. If they are translated into other

languages, the English version shall prevail in case of any differences in interpretation or

legal effect.

7. Severability: If any provision of these Guidelines is found to be unlawful or

unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be deemed severed

from the Guidelines and will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining

provisions, which will remain in full force.

8. No Waiver: Cevera’s failure to enforce any part of these Guidelines is not a waiver of

our right to later enforce that or any other part of the Guidelines. Any waiver of any

provision of these Guidelines will be effective only if in writing and signed by an

authorized representative of Cevera.
